The Westside Wranglers Volleyball Club was founded in May, 2009 and is proud to operate out of Westside Tennis & Fitness: Houston’s premier family, sports and fitness club. Over the years, Westside’s world class facilities have hosted many international tennis tournaments such as, the Davis Cup and the US Men’s Clay Court Championships. These events brought top athletes from around the globe to our club. In April of 2009, Westside Tennis & Fitness hosted an AVP Pro Beach Volleyball tournament, bringing in elite players such as, the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalists, Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser. The Westside Wranglers Volleyball Club is new; however, the tradition of athletic excellence and quality competition has existed at Westside for many years. Building on the reputation of its tennis predecessors, The Westside Wranglers Volleyball Club hopes to continue to attract top talent as well as pursue the highest level of athletic achievement.
The Westside Wranglers Volleyball program is comprised of 8 dedicated Coaches with decades of experience, both playing and teaching at the club and collegiate levels. Our Staff is well equipped to provide volleyball expertise to young players U12 – U18. Players will not only be instructed on the technical and tactical aspects of volleyball, but they will also cultivate skills such as discipline, mental preparation, and a strong work ethic.
In addition, we recognize that team chemistry is paramount for success in any team sport and our volleyball club is designed to foster team bonding as well as parental support. For example, once a player joins the Westside Wranglers, she and her family are automatically members of Westside Tennis & Fitness. This means all of our girls and their families have access to our pools, our state of the art fitness facilities (great for extra training) and any other club events and activities centered on family fun! Because of this, the Westside Wranglers Volleyball Club is unlike any other volleyball club in Houston.
